The Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling has become a global phenomenon over the past few years. As of 2001, the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, has been published in 39 countries and has been translated into 31 different languages. Its all over the place! In locations like Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, Iceland , and the Middle East.
To side of this text you see a photo. This photo is from the Harry Potter series in Iceland. There the first book is
called Harry Potter og viskusteinninn (Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone). The book was published in Icelandic back in 1999.
