All Around the World

The Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling has become a global phenomenon over the past few years. As of 2001, the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, has been published in 39 countries and has been translated into 31 different languages. Its all over the place! In locations like Africa,  the Americas, Asia, Europe, Iceland , and the Middle East.

To side of this text you see a photo. This photo is from the Harry Potter series in Iceland. There the first book is called Harry Potter og viskusteinninn (Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone). The book was published in Icelandic back in 1999.

Next you see a Japanese page.  I find it interesting all the different ways this has been published. Think about, right now somewhere in the worl someone is reading Harry Potter. Whoa. There the first book is called Harii Pottaa To Kenja No Ishi. That was published in 2001.
There. A little about two places and their JK Rowling novels, I shall continue this later. Farewell. Despedida. Jäähyväiset. Abschied. وداع

Did you know?

I am the type of person who loves learning strange facts about things (all polar bears are left handed). So I thought that I would share a cool photo that taught us all. This photo is interesting to me because it explains something in the background. Most of the time we don't pay attention to the little details but it is nice to find out something like this. It can give us insight, or maybe it's just a little brain food for us to forget tomorrow. Who knows? I sure as hell don't, but maybe you're into philosophy, so there, thunk about that! Oh yeah this about Harry Potter, well......What a wizard! Okay I should stop typing, blog over.

Rupert Update.....NEW MOVIE!!!

Rupert Grint is a young ginger actor who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series. I just thought I would post a little something about how he is doing. I was looking for something to blog about when I stubled upon new info about Rupert. There is a poster for his new movie circling about the web. This new poster for Rupert Grint’s latest project, Into the White, is now online. It shows Rupert in his pilot goggles and bomber jacket. I’ve also included a trailer for you below. The film, which takes place during World War II and Rupert portrays Gunner Robert Smith, is expected to be in theatres April 12th in the US.

Luna Lovegood - Evanna Lynch - Actress over comes Anorexia

Evanna Lynch is the young Irish actress who plays Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series. Lynch studied speculative fiction and drama at the Centre for Talented Youth of Ireland, a summer program for gifted children. She was a HUGE Harry fan, an wrote letters to J.K. Rowling. At age eleven she begged Rowling for help in one of her letters.
“I told how I looked up to her,” Lynch tells The Sun
“She wrote back and was like a counsellor. She told me anorexia is destructive, not creative, and the brave thing was not to succumb to it.” This helped her over come her anorexia and go on to play Luna Lovegood. Rowling really is an ispiration.

Tattoos

For some people their tattoos represent a time in their life, honor a person, or show something that is near and dear to their heart. Not surprisingly people get Harry Potter tattoos. Who doesn't want a Hippogriff on their chest? I thought I might expose you to some of these interesting ink designs.

There are quite a few that are the Deathly Hallows. That is the symbol from the last book, a triangle with a line and a circle inside. The line represents the elder wand, triangle is the invisibility cloak, and the the circle is the resurrection stone.

I will continue with more tattoos next time! BYE BYE!!!

What I think they should change about Quiditch.

Last time I posted about the rules of Quidditch, so now I will tell you what I would like to change about it. As I mentioned before the game of Quidditch lasts until the golden snitch, thats something I would like that to change. It is lame that the game could last anywhere from five minutes to three days, it should be like other sports and have a time limit. A score to reach would be nice too because than the golden snitch would help but you could still win without it. Other than that I think Quidditch is pretty cool! Bludgers are kind of dangerous, but hey, who doesn't like a little excitement? Is there anything you would change?
